Telecommunications and Data Communications leader Pat McMurray was recently awarded the credential of DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant) by world-renowned cabling design and installation professional association BICSI.

McMurray, President of the data, voice, and fiber optic cabling solution provider T&R Communications, adds this designation alongside his Project Management Professional (PMP), Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Network Technology Systems (NTS) Designer, and Outside Plant (OSP) Designer credentials. T&R Communications designs and installs the Infrastructure Cabling and Wireless & RF Communications that is the lifeblood and backbone of a telecommunications system.

Each year, data centers continue to increase in capacity and complexity. BICSI created the DCDC designation to shine a spotlight on professionals who not only have a deep understanding of data centers but how to use that knowledge to increase efficiency and utilization in data center design. Data Center Design Consultants possess knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems while overseeing the reliability, security and building requirements of a data center.

For McMurray, this designation was essential to T&R Communications’ integrated turnkey wired and wireless solutions that deliver customized robust and secure information systems.

“While T&R’s core business is the Communications Cabling related to the Data Centers, our experience with other trades can prove to be invaluable to our clients.”

McMurray is also dedicated to serving Sacramento, his hometown. “Our corporate office is in Sacramento. We are major proponents of Sacramento’s recent tech boom. With this designation, I want to do everything I can to show companies why they should migrate their Data Centers to the Sacramento Area.”

“Sacramento has so much to offer.”
